Other resources at the DAAL

The Danish American Archive and Library (DAAL) has a variety of other resources available for researchers, genealogists and other interested persons for use in it's office in Blair, Nebraska. These include a second digital archive and multiple databases containing information about many thousands of people from across the United States from pioneer times to the present. These include:

  • Digitized portions of the family and personal collections
  • Databases of:
    • List of the DAAL's collections
    • Danish Brotherhood and Sisterhood Membership records
    • Obituaries (mostly of Danish descent)
    • Music recordings and Cassette tapes at the DAAL, including many recordings from archive of Lauritz Melchior
    • Oral history recordings: history of Danes in America; Dana College history; Washington County history
    • List of Dana students through the years
    • List of periodicals (many in Danish) available at the DAAL
